Google has backed down

Google has reversed its "no explicit content" decision. It seems that a lot of people actually like looking at porn on the internet—Stap me, what a surprise!

  2. Yes, I'll continue to post here, but since I've also set up on Tumblr, I'll post my stuff there too.

  3. Lamivex,

I'm doing exactly the same here and Wordpress. Makes you wonder... A decision to reduce the porn around the Internet has actually increased it. Marvellous!

Can we look forward to picture 4 of the current comic and Episode 3 soon?

    Staying tuned

    1. I think one of the interesting things about the Internet is that it gives a huge number of people a (largely) anonymous voice. Before it arrived, vociferous individuals could (for example) go to town meetings, and decry this or that as "filthy, disgusting porn!" in the assurance that everyone would mumble their agreement, and the "offending" material would get banned.

Perhaps decision makers are still stuck in the mindset which says that, "if you get stricter on porn, no one will object very strongly, because they don't want to admit they actually like it". Now, with the advent of the Internet, people can be honest, and the strength of feeling expressed when someone tries to ban porn has probably taken Google by surprise (as I believe also happened with Tumblr a little while ago).

As far as I know, there aren't many people who go around openly admitting to friends and coworkers that they like looking at porn on the Internet, but it's obvious that many, many people do (perhaps even most). On the Internet itself, however, they have a powerful voice—and they have spoken! Hooray for the Internet!

P.S. I have to admit that Episode 3 is on hold at the moment, but I'll get round to it.

      Regards.
